How does it work? How do I earn hits?
You can earn traffic in 2 ways:
1) By using your unique view-for-hits-link youīll earn hits every time you visit another members page providing you wait long enough; about 15 seconds.
2) You can earn hits from your referrals. Each time they earn their traffic you will automatically earn traffic, too. This is a comfortable way to create traffic. The more referrals you have, the more hits you will earn. You will find Referral stats in your member admin area.
How do I view for hits?
Signup, activate your account and login. You will find your view-for-hits-link in the members area. Just click it and your browser will start showing sites and you are earning traffic. You do not have to be logged in to use your view link.

Login, signup, password, delete account issues
Identity: A user gets an id-member number used in the view-for-hits-link and in the referral-link. Login details consists of your id-number as login name and your randomly created password.
No other details are necessary. Login names and passwords are Case SenSitive. "Funny" is not the same as "FuNny".
If you have forgotten your password you can retrieve it by the "Forgotten" link on the login page or main page.
Userid cannot be changed.
Delete Account: Click the "Delete Account" link in your member area.
Multiple accounts
A member is not allowed to have multiple accounts. Referring yourself is cheating.
How do I know my sites get traffic?
If you do not trust the stats shown in your member admin area or want more details you should get some good tracking software or join a tracking program.
Why do my own tracker logs differ from used credits?
This occurs in all traffic exchanges. The cause could be any one of the following:
1) Your site loads too slowly, not within the predetermined allotted time (20 seconds), and the 'next page' is loaded before your site is finished loading. Keep your site a quick one to load, please! Also, many trackers depend upon images, so if a user does not have images enabled in their browser it might not show as a hit.
2) Your tracker software is remotely hosted:
Remotely hosted trackers or counters also must load. The viewer might go to the next page before the remote tracker is loaded.
3) Maybe your webiste link is entered incorrectly or misspelled. The link must start with "http://", no breaks, no white spaces, one line only. Remember, our software is calling for your site by the userid. The link itself is your contribution.
4) A visitors Browser settings do and might affect stats.
If you do not receive hits
The following reasons are common:
1) Not waiting long enough. The bottom frame must reload. Predetermined time is 20 seconds.
2) Your account might have been inactivated by admin due to violating our terms.
3) You may be using the wrong view for hits link; maybe it's mispelled or missing. Keep your eyes open.
Why you never see your own page?
Itīs taken for granted that you do not want to see your own site because it will cost you hits.
Stats
In the view sites bar and in member admin area you will find your stats.
The first line shows how many sites you have visited. The second line shows how many hits you got in return. Third line shows how many hits are left on your account.

How can I change my account?
You can change your email address, password, and target sites from the members area page (when you first log in).
Changing target site profiles
Login to your member admin area. Add the link in the text field and hit the 'Add-button'. When adding a link, if the status becomes '0', that means admin must approve your new site. This will normally take 2-12 hours. From the member area you can also delete your sites. You can find your deleted and previously added sites.
Test site
When you add a new site to your 'Website' profile itīs tested and you get a question: - Does your website look fine, without violating our terms of service - and you will have to confirm. If you only see your own page, not inside the test frame, itīs a frame breaker and not allowed on www.FunnyFarmTraffic.com. Framebreakers are serious violation of terms. If we find one, your account may be cancelled.
Framebreakers are websites containing code designed to break the page out of any other frame it might occur within. Our view sites page contains 2 frames, a top frame and a main frame. The targeted website will show up in the main frame. If the targeted website is a framebreaker it will take over the whole window screen, hence futher viewing becomes impossible. Framebreaking code is usually javascript code.
Redirects and Trackers: We do allow these. However, if yours contains pages that violate our Terms of Service, it or you may be banned!
Startpages: Startpages from other traffic exchange are not allow because they may show pages not in compliance with Funny Farm Traffic terms.

Distribution of hits
If you visit a lot of sites in a short period you canīt expect to get all those hits back immediately. Hits are delivered in rotation, member by member, not site by site.
Cheat protection
We keep records on every single click. We know every single IP-number, ISP, Browser, Agent, Referrer, time etc.
There are other means of cheating prevention in use, not mentioned here.
Reporting terms violation
Admin does not see everything. While viewing sites you will sometimes see pages breaking the rules of Funny Farm Traffic.com. This makes life harder for honest members. You can report such pages by clicking the [Report] link in the view sites bar. It will show the 10 latest sites you have visited. The site you are reporting is usually going to be the Second one down the list. Click on Report and fill in the form (comments are appreciated). If the site does not break our Terms of Service, you will hear not hear from back from us. If it does break Terms, you will be rewarded 20 hits. The offender will get 50 lashes with a wet noodle and a pie in the face, or worse!
